Reading Up

The Bellevue AP Institute starts on Monday, and even though the 2012-13 school is barely over, I'm already getting excited about next year.

In preparation I'm taking a course through Bellevue School District's AP Institute on teaching European History.

The instructor gave us a leading reading assignment, a book called Liberty, Equality, Fraternity written by Jack Censer and Lynn Hunt. I'm currently browsing the stacks for it at Powell's in Portland (while on a celebratory trip for my wife and I's 15th wedding anniversary.)

I'm really glad to get a chance to focus on the French Revolution as it in area that there is always more to understand and it is oh so important to understanding all of us.

More later, back to the stacks.
